Edith clutched her face in shock as the assailant left. Early she had thought that since her abilities returning to a degree, that things were looking up, but now that optimism was completely gone. Her face covered her clothen hand with blood as she knelt, paralyzed with fear and pain. She could feel the tears on her coat sleeves she had sustained from trying to defend herself. This coupled with Buttons cries only added to her suffering.
She couldn't move. She just didn't know what to do.......

Looks like Edith might be needing some help, and hug.
And an eye patch.
I feel really horrible now.
God what have I done to my poor little Edith?
